Silver Lake Intermediate School has an individual in custody who threatened student safety Friday. This comes just after the school was placed on lockdown for an 'emotional issue' Tuesday.

The individual who made the threat is not a student at Silver Lake, nor enrolled in any of the district's schools, according to the Oconomowoc Area School District.

This person is currently being detained and question by officers with the Oconomowoc Police Department.

"We would like to thank the student who shared this information and reinforce the importance of sharing any threats to school safety with a staff member or administrator. The Oconomowoc Area School District will continue to take immediate and significant actions to keep our schools safe when dealing with reports of this nature," sad the district in a news release.

On Tuesday the school was placed on lockdown for a situation in the eighth grade hallway. Staff members worked through the situation with a student while other students were instructed to stay in their classrooms to protect the student's privacy.
