Newly-elected Milwaukee County Judge's husband killed in weekend freeway crash

OZAUKEE COUNTY -- The husband of newly-elected Milwaukee County Judge Kristy Yang was killed in a freeway crash over the weekend in Ozaukee County.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says Long Thao, 41, of Oak Creek was involved in a fatal accident on I-43 Saturday evening when his SUV struck a limo bus that had pulled over on the right side of the freeway. His SUV rolled over several times before it came to rest on its roof.

Thao was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the limo bus was not injured. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office. 

Kristy Yang is the first female Hmong-American judge in the nation.
