In this edition of Weekend Warriors, a new attraction brings out the ninja warrior in all of us. If you're up for the challenge, you too can find yourself at the top of the warped wall.
Adding to its already wide array of activities, Stonefire Pizza Co. in New Berlin now has a new ninja warrior course that’s based on the NBC show ‘America Ninja Warrior.’ Only this course is meant for children and adults.
“I can personally say that I've done it a lot of times,” Stonefire’s General Manager Nick Lee said with a smile. “We let adults go on and they have a great time as well.”
“It's really just different,” he added. “It's something that you can't do anywhere else in the area.”
It's a one-of-a-kind course in a one-of-a-kind place. Discovered at an attractions expo, the course has 10 different obstacles. Some are easy and some are hard, so you may need a helping hand.
“I can't say that we completed every mission, but we tried,” said Andy Paap who assisted his five-year-old son Finley through the course. “It certainly takes a lot of technique, which I don't think either one of us has, but it was a lot of fun for sure.”
“There's some really hard parts which are the big, three things and the monkey bars,” described six-year-old twins Archer and Trapper Stoychoff.
And then there's that pesky warped wall that seems to challenge everyone. But when you do succeed, it's a moment to celebrate and remember. So whether it's a birthday bash or just another Wednesday night, the fun factor is high. As nine-year-old ninja warrior Fischer Stoychoff puts it:
“From a scale of one to ten, I give it a nine.”
