Neighbor spots house fire in Waukesha, no injuries

City of Waukesha Police and Fire Dispatch were notified of a fire just before 2 a.m. Monday morning.

A neighbor who lives on Oakland Avenue spotted the fire near Greenfield Avenue and Ellis Street and called 911.

Waukesha fire and police departments both responded to the scene in the 300 block of North Greenfield Avenue and began working to extinguish the fire from the outside and inside of the home.

The fire was located on the second floor and the attic. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, leaving minor damage to the remainder of the structure.

No occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire.

North Avenue was closed off from Ellis Street to East Broadway Avenue for the investigation Monday morning.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
