NEENAH — A Neenah man is now $1.9 million richer after he claimed the winning Megabucks ticket.

On Sept. 5, the Wisconsin Lottery held its regular lottery drawing. On that day, one man's life was changed.

The winner, Leonard McIlhone, is a longtime Megabucks player and plans to use his winnings by putting in his two weeks notice and retiring early.

"Wow, what a win for Leonard and Mobil!" said Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin. "Megabucks is a Wisconsin-only jackpot game that players really love and we're happy this long-time player hit the jackpot."

The ticket was sold at Mobil West (1340 Gillingham Rd.) in Neenah. Because they sold the ticket, Mobil West will receive $38,000.

According to the Wisconsin Lottery, the last Megabucks jackpot of $10.7 million annuity was won on April 25, 2020 and claimed by a Merrillian man.
