Milwaukee Police Department released the body-cam footage Saturday of an officer-involved shooting that happened in October on 101st and Mill Road.

The shooting happened October 10 around 5:40 a.m. around the 6200 block of North 101st street, according to police.

The video begins with clips of 911 calls from residents in the area complaining of hearing multiple gun shots, one resident even claimed the suspect shot at him three times.

The video shows officers responding to the scene of the suspect Alonzo Smith in his vehicle in the apartment complex parking lot.  Officers repeatedly gave verbal commands to Smith to show his hands and step out of the vehicle. Smith failed to follow the commands. As officers begin to confirm Smith is the suspect that 911 callers had described, viewers can hear Smith begin to fire a gun at the officers in which officers responded with gunfire.

Smith died several days later from his injuries.

Wauwatosa Police are further investigating the shooting including a toxicology report.
