MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department says a pedestrian was hit by a car and the driver didn't stop.

Officers were called to the area of 46th & Burleigh shortly before 6:00 p.m. Friday. Police say a 57-year-old man was walking across the street when the driver of a white Cadillac Deville was driving eastbound when he hit the victim. The driver then took off.

The victim suffered head trauma and other non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Froedtert Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Police say a good citizen witness observed the hit-and-run and followed the suspect's car. The witness called police who then located the driver of the vehicle.
