A Mount Pleasant Department of Public Works employee suffered life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car Monday afternoon.
Mount Pleasant Police said the 55-year-old driver hit the worker near Green Bay Road and Shirley Avenue at 1 p.m.
The worker was taken to the hospital via helicopter and is in critical condition.
Police said the worker was outside his truck and was wearing his reflective clothing when the collision happened.
The driver cooperated with police and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
