More than 16,000 lose power in southeast Wisconsin after Thursday storms

MILWAUKEE -- More than 16,000 customers were left without power in southeast Wisconsin Thursday morning after storms rolled through the area, according to We Energies' outage map.

Milwaukee was the hardest hit, with just over 9,000 customers without power at the outage's peak. Wauwatosa followed with just under 3,000 outages, and Whitefish Bay had just under 2,000.

West Allis and St. Francis each had over 1,000 outages as well.

We Energies crews were working to restore power Thursday afternoon. As of 6:00 p.m., about 400 customers were still without power.
