More than 1,500 lose power overnight

UPDATE (6 a.m. Tuesday): The heavy snow and ice is still causing some power outages Tuesday. About 20 homes are still without power. That's down from more than 1,600 overnight.

MILWAUKEE -- More than 1,000 households in southeastern Wisconsin are without power Monday evening after high winds caused power outages, We Energies reported.

As of 9:45 p.m., 1,614 customers were experiencing outages.

The largest outages include Milwaukee County (919 customers are out of service) and Waukesha County (469).

Most of the larger outages are due to tree contact with power lines, We Energies' outage map says.
