MILWAUKEE — A beloved East Coast beer is making its way west thanks to a new partnership with Molson Coors, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Both Molson Coors and Yuengling & Son Inc. are facing profit losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WSJ reports. Both are seeing a drop in sales, so they decided to team up.
As of now, Yuengling beer is only sold in 22 states on the east coast. However, with this new partnership, Molson Coors will begin producing Yuengling in their own facilities.
Those beers will then be released in the second half of 2021, allowing Wisconsinites to buy Yuengling within their home state.
The WSJ reports research suggests that there is a demand for Yuengling across the country.
