The Mitchell Park Domes Task Force is scheduled to meet for the first time tonight to discuss the future of the Mitchell Park Domes.
The meeting will be led by an eleven-member task force who will work to develop a long-term plan for the Mitchell Park Domes.
The task force was established by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors following the temporary closure of the Domes last February. The Domes closed due to concerns of falling concrete in their support beams.
The County Board allocated $500,000 install protective netting to temporarily fix the safety concerns. Since then, two of the three domes have reopened.
The meeting is scheduled tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory.
