The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office found and identified the body of a deceased man whowent missing on Aug. 20.
On Sunday, Ahmad Adl was found floating in the water at Whitefish Dunes State Park in Door County. He originally went missing in Lake Michigan at Harrington Beach State Park.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department worked with the Door County Sheriff's Office and the Door County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the identification of the body.
An autopsy was conducted by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office Monday. The remains were positively identified as Adl through dental records and the description of clothing and jewelry worn.
The investigation remains open, but the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says the cause of death appears to be an accidental drowning.
