The missing Stevens Point Area Public School District student that was reported missing earlier this week has been located safe and returned home.
18-year-old Jackson Kelly of Plover went missing Sunday night at about 10:30 p.m.
Kelly’s car was found at a local La Quinta Inn in Stevens Point at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police found out Kelly left the car and got a ride from a friend, who took him home.
“The take away is a young man is home safe and sound with his family and no crime has been committed. A sincere thank you to the entire community for the support and efforts in helping locate Jackson Kelly,” said Plover Police Chief Daniel Ault in a news release.
