The body of a diver that went missing off the coast of Lake Michigan near Milwaukee has been recovered, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff said on Monday the remains of James Winn, 53, of Kildeer, Illinois were recovered after a search that spanned 230 miles this weekend.

He and 53-year-old Susan Winn died after they set out on a scuba diving trip Friday afternoon.

Winn was pronounced dead on Friday when she was found unresponsive in Lake Michigan 20 miles off the Milwaukee shoreline.

The Coast Guard was out searching for James Winn for 20 hours, but called it off on Saturday.

The sheriff was joined by the Coast Guard, Milwaukee Police, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Keith Cormican of Bruce’s Legacy Search and Recovery in the search.

There were two other divers on the chartered scuba boat that were not injured.
