MILWAUKEE -- Exhale, Milwaukee street parkers. The city's winter parking regulations officially end Friday.

Though the regulations requiring parking on one side of the street usually expire on March 1, the city's Department of Public Works extended them by 15 days this year due to a large amount of snowfall in an unusally short amount of time.

Vehicles must sill follow all night parking rules overnight Thursday into Friday AND must be in compliance with all posted signs, the DPW points out.

While this is certainly welcome news for those who live in Milwaukee, the DPW is warning residents that we may not be completely out of the woods just yet.

"Residents are reminded that the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works can still call an Overnight Snow Removal Operation or declare a snow emergency after March 15 should weather conditions warrant it."

If you want to be extra sure, you can always see all Milwaukee parking regulations at milwaukee.gov/parking.

Buckle up, folks. June is still a ways away.
