Justin Hurwitz made Wisconsin proud Sunday, taking home two Oscars for his work with the acclaimed film La La Land.

Hurwitz, who attended Nicolet High School, won Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (City of Stars).

Hurwitz also won two Golden Globes for Original Score and Best Original Song earlier this year.

According to his father, Ken, Justin played the piano since the age of 6 and began to compose music in the 4th grade.

"It's unreal; I'd say he works a good 100 hours a week. When he's composing, he never goes to bed before 2am,” Ken Hurwitz to TODAY’S TMJ4 after the Golden Globes wins.

In the past two months, Hurwitz has picked up a handful of critics' awards and a BAFTA along with those two Golden Globe Awards.
