Well, it’s about time.

One of Milwaukee’s most iconic statues has finally obtained an additional measure of authenticity.

The Bronz Fonz, located on the city’s RiverWalk, has been painted to reflect the character’s blue jeans.

After all, Arthur Fonzerelli from “Happy Days,” was known for his jeans, so the teal-ish hue was always a bit of a head scratcher.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, sculptor Gerald Sawyer recently painted the statue during his annual visit.

The Bronze Fonz was first unveiled south of Wells Street in 2008.
