MILWAUKEE — If you would like to get out of the house while family is visiting or your children are on winter break, the Milwaukee County Zoo is offering complimentary admission through Jan. 1 during its Frosty Free Week.

The zoo, at 10001 W. Bluemound Road, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. It is scheduled to be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, the zoo is scheduled to be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but the hours might differ.

Though admission is free, parking ($12) and concession fees still apply, the zoo said in a news release.
