MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee World Festival Inc. announced Thursday that Harley-Davidson is no longer a sponsor of Summerfest, saying they look forward to new sponsorships.

Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, is sponsored by many local companies. However, Harley-Davidson is no longer one of them as of Thursday.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. said they are "grateful for the two decades that Harley-Davidson was a major sponsor of Summerfest, but that time has come to an end."

During their time as sponsors, Harley-Davidson's stage was home to many artists such as Keith Urban, Lil Uzi Vert, Scorpions, and Wiz Khalifa.

Now, the festival will have to search for a new sponsor to replace Harley-Davidson's stage, the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse.

"As times change, Summerfest, the Milwaukee business community, and our sponsors evolve, bringing new opportunities. All of us at Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. are looking forward to a new chapter of the festival in 2021, including bringing on new partners to grow Summerfest," Milwaukee World Festival Inc. wrote in a press release.

They assured fans that even with Harley Davidson no longer a sponsor, they will continue to offer the same "world-class performances," and an opportunity to make Summerfest memories for years to come.
