MILWAUKEE -- Two women in Southeast Wisconsin are making a name for themselves.

The friends created a podcast on their time off, to talk about their lives... and true crime.

You may recognize one of the hosts, Melinda Collins from The Real World: Austin. The Milwaukee-native and her friend Sara Holzem created a podcast talking about different high-profile murder cases each week.

It's called The 8th Sin.

"It just came to me of the seven deadly sins well, what if we do 'The 8th Sin?' It's the love of true crime, or the things that are unexplained," said Collins.

It takes weeks of research before they press record. They also know how to have fun.

"We just get on a roll of funny things. Bring up our past - I was on The Real World. Sarah was in the ARMY," explained Collins.

Then, the conversation takes a turn. The program talks about some of the most bizarre heinous crimes out there.

"For me, what makes it interesting is the psychology behind it what makes someone get to the point where they either commit a murder or they premeditate something," said Collins.

"It's okay to have different opinions from the other," said Holzem, "It's kind of hard to describe to people, like its a comedy but its also true crime."

Their podcast is published weekly. Click here to learn more.
