A Milwaukee woman has been charged with allegedly leaving a loaded firearm near a child.
Nicole Jackson was arrested this week at the home where a 6-year-old child got ahold of the firearm and shot his 9-year-old brother.
Police said it happened just before 4 p.m. Wednesday in their home near 20th and Hadley.
The child's family said the injured child is out of surgery and doing better.
Jackson's bond was set at $1,000.
