The Milwaukee Post Office will be posting new job openings in early September to hire a new position called City Carrier Assistants.
The CCA is a new, non-career position that will allow employees a path to become full-time mail carriers with USPS. The new CCA starting salary will start at $16.78 per hour.
CCAs will be appointed for a term not to exceed 360 calendar days. At the end of the term, CCAs are eligible for reappointment for another 360-day term. CCAs will enjoy benefits including salary increases, vacation time, and an opportunity to enroll in a health benefits plan after 360 days of employment.
The CCA position will be open for application starting Sept.4 and will be open until September 9. To be eligible, you must have a valid state driver's license, demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
After you fill out your application you will have to begin studying for the Postal Entrance Examination 473, the test you will need to pass in order to be hired. You must score a minimum of 70 to pass.
