2 dead, 3 injured in separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE –  Two people were killed and three were injured in four separate overnight shootings that occurred within a 12 hour time period in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Police responded to the following shootings during this time period:

  • A 25-year-old Milwaukee man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot just before 2 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of W. Meinecke Avenue.  The circumstances that led up to the shooting remain unclear at this time.
  • A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and killed around 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of N. 39th Street. Police have identified the victim as Antonio Davis. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.  Police say the motive for this shooting is currently unclear.
  • A 31-year-old Milwaukee man and 25-year-old Milwaukee woman were shot just after 10 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Glendale Avenue. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  Police said they still continue to seek a motive for this shooting.
  • A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally shot just before 1 a.m. Monday in the 5100 block of N. 40th Street.  Police have identified the victim as Anthony D. Rivers. Police say the victim was involved in a fight with another man and was shot by him. After suffering serious injuries, he was later pronounced dead.

Police continue to seek suspects involved in all of these shooting. Anyone with information is asked to police.
