MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin's first ever Shake Shack location will open its doors December 6, the New York City-based burger chain announced Wednesday.
The restaurant in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, located at the northeast corner of Buffalo and Water Streets, will open at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. The first 50 people in line will each receive a free ShackBurger.
In addition to Shake Shack's normal menu, the Third Ward location will serve a variety of items from local companies like Usinger's, Rocket Baby Bakery, and Honey Pie Cafe. They'll also serve beer from Lakefront Brewery, Milwaukee Brewing Co., The Fermentorium, and Miller Brewing Company.
Since the original Shake Shack opened in New York's Madison Square Park in 2004, the company has expanded to more than 85 locations in 18 U.S. states.
