MILWAUKEE --The owner of Circle Bar was shocked to find out Milwaukee's licensing committee was considering his request to turn the place into a strip club.
The bar, located at 2221 N. Humboldt Ave., only opened last March. The sports-themed bar added a request for "adult entertainment" when it renewed its license.
Daryl Carter, the bar's owner, claimed he never meant to apply for it and that he accidentally checked the box applying for adult entertainment.
Carter said he didn't find out that he applied until he saw the story on the news.
