MILWAUKEE -- Sledding, snow angels, and snowball fights are fun in February -- but when snow days close schools in the Winter, the days have to be made up.

Thanks to the snow day on February 8, Milwaukee Public High School students had their last day of school moved from Friday, May 18 to Monday, May 21.

The change will not affect grades K-8, only grades 9-12.

Wisconsin requires schools to provide a specific number of minutes of instruction for each grade level during a calendar year, and while the district explored other options, they determined this was the easiest route.
