Milwaukee police still searching for suspects connected to civil unrest, arson at 40th and Lloyd

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police say they are still searching for suspects connected to last week's civil unrest and arson in the area of 40th and Lloyd.

Officers say after they secured and locked the home in question, in the 2100 block of N. 40th St., they saw several suspects from the gathered crowd unlawfully entering the home. Police say they also saw the suspects throwing and removing items from the property.

Those suspects were also seen entering the owner's car before was lit on fire.

The home in question was also set on fire by some members of the crowd, due to allegations it was connected to sex trafficking. Police say there is currently no evidence to substantiate that claim.
