Milwaukee Police: Missing 4-year-old child found

UPDATED STORY:

MILWAUKEE  -- Milwaukee police say the father of a 4-year-old girl reported missing has been arrested for making a false report.

Authorities say the girl was found at school. Earlier police reported the child was in a vehicle that was stolen in Milwaukee Tuesday morning. And, that the vehicle was recovered, but the child was still missing.

Police later said the so-called abduction was falsely reported by the child's father, who is in custody. The investigation continues.

ORIGINAL STORY:

MILWAUKEE -- Police are still looking a 4-year-old girl who was in the back seat of a car that was stolen.

Police say the car was stolen on Tuesday around 10:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of W. Becher Street. 

Suspects obtained the victim’s vehicle which was parked and running.  The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle and the vehicle they arrived in. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered but the child is still missing.

Police say they are looking for two black males who were last seen driving a dark gray or navy blue Mazda SUV.

Missing Child: Jamareiyonna L Buchanan-Murdock, black female, 4-years old, 3 feet tall, last seen wearing a black jacket over a pink hooded sweatshirt and green boots; she was seen seated in a pink and black front facing car seat that is also still missing

Police say an Amber Alert is also being created at this time and a picture of the child may follow when it is available.  Anyone with information is asked to call 414-935-7360.  If suspects or the child are seen call 911.
