Milwaukee Police investigating two east side robberies minutes apart

MILWAUKEE — Investigators with the Milwaukee Police Department are working to determine if two robbery incidents that occurred minutes after each other are related.

Police were called to the 2200 block of N. Bartlett Ave at 1:00 a.m. Monday after a man was approached while sitting in his vehicle. The suspects demanded property and stole the victim's car, police said.

In another incident, officers responded to the 1000 block of E. Meinecke Ave around 1:15 a.m. Monday after receiving calls about another person being robbed. The victim's were walking when they were approached by the suspects who demanded property. The suspects fled the scene.

The two scenes are minutes away from each other on the city's east side.
