Milwaukee Police Department investigates two shootings Friday night

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened Friday night.

Police were called to the first shooting around 6 p.m. in the 2700 block of N. 47th St.

A 23-year-old man was outside a residence when shots were fired and he was struck. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

The second shooting happened around 7:09 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. Congo Ave.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. However, a 37-year-old man was seriously injured and is at a local hospital in stable condition.
