Milwaukee police say one of their community officers was involved in a car crash Friday night.
Police said it happened near 27th and Barnard at about 8 p.m.
The female officer was hit by another driver who failed to yield.
Police say the officer was hospitalized with a shoulder injury.
She is expected to recover.
