Strong-armed robbery suspect reportedly arrested

UPDATE: The individual was arrested at about 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of South 76th St., according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The Milwaukee Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying a strong-armed robbery suspect who stole from a store last Wednesday night.

According to police, the suspect took merchandise from the establishment in the 2100 block of S 16th Street before putting it in his pockets. The suspect then punched the store owner in the face when he was confronted and then proceeded to run out of the building. The suspect reportedly then fired two shots from a handgun in the alley afterward.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5-foot-4, 160 pounds and a light skin complexion with black, curly hair. He was last seen wearing clear glasses, white zip-up jacket, plaid underwear, True Religion jeans, white Nike Air Force 1s and a Champion shoulder bag.
