MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department has terminated an employee after they were caught driving recklessly.

Police say officers stopped a vehicle for reckless driving on Thursday. The occupants immediately fled from the car. Officers were able to take the driver of the vehicle into custody.

Police later learned an 18-year-old they took into custody worked as a police aide since August. That person was immediately suspended and has since been terminated from the Milwaukee Police Department. Two additional subjects were taken into custody during the investigation.

This case has been referred to the District Attorney's Office and is currently under review.
