MILWAUKEE -- A 42-year-old man is dead after being shot several times overnight in Milwaukee.
It happened just after Midnight Saturday -- in the 6300 block of W. Silver Spring Drive.
According to Milwaukee Police, officers found a the victim with several "very serious" gunshot wounds.
The Milwaukee Fire Department arrived at the scene and performed live saving measures, but unfortunately the victim died on the scene.
Police say circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation. A person of interest has been detained and the investigation is ongoing.
