MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee police are investigating after a 4-year-old boy shot his 2-year-old brother in the foot over the weekend.
It happened Sunday around 9:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of N. 18th Street.
According to police, the child’s 4-year-old brother found a handgun and shot the 2-year-old in the foot.
The 2-year-old was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say their father was arrested for leaving a firearm in reach of a child.
Charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the upcoming days.
