MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee's annual Project Clean & Green program began Monday.
Department of Public Works crews will be picking up unwanted household items for free through May 27. Normally, residents are charged $50 to $150. Find out when the crews are coming to your neighborhood.
Items accepted:
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Up to two cubic yards of tree trimmings
- Up to five tires
Item not accepted:
- Appliances
- TVs and other electronics, such as computers, printers, scanners, tablets
- Construction debris
- Paint and paint thinner
- Motor oil
- Hazardous waste
- Grass
- Yard waste
- More than two cubic yards of tree trimmings
The crews will also be doing street and alley sweeping, nuisance inspections and graffiti removal to aid in beautifying each neighborhood.
