A lot of Green Bay Packers fans were praying for a win Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. And while many filled local bars, one group of die-hard fans have made it a habit of watching, cheering and praying during every game at their home.
The Sisters of Charity of St. Joan Antida have watched Packers games together every Sunday for about 10 years. And they're surprisingly loud, especially during playoffs.
"We've had a lot of fun over the years depending which sisters have been living here," said Sister Monica Fumo.
She says throughout her 10 years living at their home located on the St Charles Borromeo Parish grounds, they have never had a sister cheer for any team but the Packers.
"We've all been Packer fans because I guess they'd have to move out," said Fumo.
Like many fans, the sisters have their game day rituals. Every time the Packers score a touchdown, they press play on a singing and dancing Packer player they received as a gift.
"There's various little objects we've collected over the years from people," said Fumo. "Haven't bought any, they've been given."
As you can imagine, there are some added prayers for the Packers in their house. And on Sunday, their prayers were answered.
