MILWAUKEE -- A 17-year-old girl was shot on the city's north side late morning on Wednesday.
It happened in the 2100 block of W. North Avenue around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, the girl was shot during circumstances that are still under investigation. The victim went to a nearby business where police were called and the girl was transported to a local hospital.
Her injuries are expected to be non-life threatening.
Milwaukee police continue to seek a motive and search for the suspect or suspects involved.
