MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man that pointed a gun at a mail carrier has been sentenced to three years in federal prison.

According to our partners at WISC-TV, David Polnitz Jr. has been found guilty on two charges, including illegal possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Polnitz's pit bull was sprayed with pepper spray by the mailman, after the dog charged him while he was delivering mail.

Polnitz admitted that he argued with the mail carrier but denied that he confronted him with a gun or threatened to kill him.
