Playing second fiddle to the second city is a hard pill to swallow.
Cubs fans flood Miller Park or “Wrigley North,” Chicagoans refer to Milwaukee as a suburb and they won’t shut up about the ‘85 Bears.
But Milwaukee got quite the slight in a Huffington Post UK report titled: “Ten Reasons To Visit Chicago.”
The #10 reason to visit Chicago? Little ole Milwaukee is only two hours away.
“Just a two-hour drive, train or bus ride away is Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Squeeze in time for a day trip – especially you are a beer or cheese lover – and tick off another state,” the report said.
Now, to be fair, they do have some nice things to say about our Public Market and Lakefront Brewery. The Safe House even got a shoutout.
But come on! Milwaukee is more than a place to “tick off another state.” The Huffington Post listed plenty in its blurb of Milwaukee to give us our own “Ten Reasons to Visit…” article.
