MILWAUKEE -- Thousands lined the city streets Monday for Milwaukee's Memorial Day Parade.

The parade ended at the War Memorial, where a powerful wreath laying ceremony took place for every branch of the U.S. military.

Among the veterans there to pay tribute at the 151st Memorial Day Parade was Vietnam War veteran Larry Reichbrandt, who served in the war as an Army Ranger. He tells TODAY'S TMJ4 he is thinking about his fallen comrades this holiday.

"I saw them die, I saw them suffer. I lucked out. I'm here, they're not and this is my way of giving back to them," said Larry Reichbrandt, Vietnam War Veteran.

Milwaukee's Memorial Day Parade is funded entirely on private donations.
