Milwaukee police are investigating a serious hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of S. 13th Street and W.  Lincoln Avenue.

Police say unidentified pedestrian was struck while crossing the street. The driver fled from the scene.
Police are looking for a newer, white vehicle with four doors, tinted windows, with front end damage.

There is no word on the severity of the victim's injuries.

Alderman Jose Perez is praying for all victims.

"It is troubling to see such callous and reckless disregard for others, joined by cowardice," he said.

Mike Colorez walks by the intersection almost every day, and says it's sad to see these hit and runs become more frequent.

"I think you should be stopping and be more careful, and be more cautious of other people; not just themselves," he says.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at: (414) 935-7360.
