MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Department of Public Works is recommending that the city issue another new pilot study for scooters to begin in spring 2021.
On Wednesday, Sept. 30, the city's DPW released its analysis of the 2019 Dockless Scooter Pilot Study, which ran from July 23, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2019. The pilot was launched for the purpose of observing, soliciting feedback on and evaluating the effectiveness of dockless scooters in the City of Milwaukee.
As part of the feedback, the DPW launched a public survey that ran throughout the duration of the pilot. The complete 60-page report can be viewed here.
A complete set of recommendations and final terms and conditions for 2021 will be finalized in the coming months after the input from elected officials, residents and scooter riders.
