MILWAUKEE -- City crews were busy addressing problems caused by snowstorms Monday.

As of 8:45 p.m. city plows are clearing out the streets, including garbage and salt trucks with plow blades mounted, and end-loaders.

To help crews do their jobs, winter parking rules are back in effect. When the city gets hit with four inches of snow or more, parking on certain streets is prohibited.

In other neighborhoods, residents must park on alternate sides of the street depending on the even or odd day of the week.

"I feel like they give you a ticket for any reason honestly," said Wynter Novak, who lives on the Upper East side. "I got a ticket last week because I parked too close to the sidewalk.”

"Especially when there’s snow it makes it more difficult for people to try to park in the spaces," said Ryan Wilson, a Bayview driver.

For residents clearing their driveways, city workers ask that you not blow the snow back into the street.

The silver lining in all of this may be that the official start to spring is March 20.
