A Milwaukee couple is working to help struggling local restaurants survive during Wisconsin's safer at home initiative.
After celebrating his 46th birthday, C.J. Krawczyk and his wife became concerned for the restaurants in their neighborhood after seeing the widespread financial impacts of COVID-19. So, the two organized a GoFundMe called "Save our Spots" after speaking with their friends in the industry who were deeply concerned about their livelihood.
In just one day, the two raised $25K to help small business owners stay afloat. As of May 12, the GoFundMe has topped $30K in total.
