Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office to address highway safety after incidents involving semi trucks

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office will be addressing highway safety concerns Wednesday afternoon.

Following three incidents this week, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office will be holding a press conference to discuss high way safety. Chief Deputy Denita Ball will address the media regarding highway safety and the following incidents:

  • On Monday, Dec. 9 a semi-truck and vehicle crashed on southbound I-43.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 10, a semi-truck breached a construction lane closure and struck a signboard.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 10, a semi-truck clipped a signboard hanging over the median causing it to strike a deputy sheriff.

The press conference will be at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
