MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy's squad car was hit by another vehicle while responding to another accident in the Mitchell Interchange Wednesday morning.
It happened around 5:15 a.m. in the median on the I-43 west-to-the-south ramp in the Mitchell Interchange.
The deputy originally responded to a one-car crash in the median of this location. The deputy’s squad was angled to block the scene and the lights were activated. As the deputy set out flares, another vehicle struck his squad. This crash also involved two other automobiles and a semi-tractor trailer truck.
The deputy was not injured. One driver was conveyed to the hospital for treatment for cuts to his face.
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this incident.
