MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department was called to I-94 early Wednesday for a report of shots fired.

The incident occurred around 2:09 a.m. on westbound I-94 at Mitchell Blvd.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the victim stated he had been driving his semi-truck when a vehicle swerved towards his vehicle.

Deputies say the truck driver then honked his horn and the suspects fired what the victim believed to be four or five shots at the vehicle.

Upon inspecting the semi, deputies discovered four bullet holes on the driver's side. There were no injuries.

The freeway was closed from 27th Street to Mitchell Blvd. for approximately two hours so deputies could gather evidence.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division is now conducting an investigation.
