MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said Tuesday afternoon that it was responding to Milwaukee's second infant death report in less than 12 hours.
Tuesday's latest infant death was reported at N. 16th St. and W. Meinecke Ave., just north of North Avenue. No immediate cause of death was available. The Medical Examiner's office said an autopsy would be performed Wednesday.

Another infant death was reported earlier Tuesday - along the same street, at N. 46th St. and Meinecke. No information on the circumstances surrounding the infant's death were available.
Two other children, ages 1 and 3, were also killed earlier this week in Milwaukee.
